funny story

aside from my blog being a bit messy- have to figure that out when stop for more than 2 seconds. have to tell you, heading to AF this am [babies out early 2] and car slows next to us. then i think i notice them trying to honk their horn, not that i would hear it with the rumbblN of the truck and all BUT it was a friend of mine/ours. WHAT a gr8 surprise- think i was too stunned & shocked to see someone i know to blow kisses back but i managed a wave...i think, i hope :)

fwiw, i smiled all day...i love seeing a person i know so thank you YOU made my day

mom moment#3

this morning, lounge in bed not moving too quickly and girls are quiet. then girls stir & ava wakes up to which she immediately calls "mama, mama, mama"- i reply, " give me a sec!!" she says, "mama, mama, mimi, mama :)" and i went to pick her up....they got faster & louder as i entered the room and sweep'D her up in a BIG hug 'good morning'....

p.s. her favorite, mom move. she opens her arms & i open mine- i love you THIS much, i whisper to her and then i give her a BIG hug :)

came home from work the other am and was walking across the yard. i looked up at the babies window and lyla was pulling back the curtains so i waited till she could see me. oh, she was so excited!!! i waved & said hi lyla and she was saying mama- i read her lips.....and then i came in and went straight to her.

did i tell you cede and i talked yesterday. one of her biggest fears is that i am disappointed in her or that i'll switch gears and get MAD about all this & BE MAD at her. she thinks/thought i could even maybe love her less. broke my heart....

we talked and i held her face close & told her it wasn't true at all. i re-assured. and we talked some more

p.s. we keep working on her school stuff & trying to figure it out! keep us close at heart <3

not well

we have a couple friends who are very sick, please pray with me for them;

one is recovering from surgery & has had some complications. she is a mom, a wife & lovely person who needs major "extra health points" or a "potion". she had major spine surgery out of state & now here at home has had several health concerns arise. her body needs rest & healing powers before she can face much more. my heart goes out to her & i think of her often during the day, saying a prayer

another is a friend of a friend but it's a couple we know & she got sick with the swine flu, nearly overnight. within 2 days she had been bag'd & put on life support, she was in a coma. the fiancee' got sick but went to O/P doc and got TX right away. he left his job & friends last week to by her side all the time. she has woken up a couple times & may get the tube out, but still touch and go. now her parents want to move her by them & he can't afford to come. she will have permanent damage on multiple levels if she recovers, from all the steroids & medication

(now at your local walgreen's [& everyone has at least 2 of those every corner] maverick. walmart & other grocery stores.) i wonder if you franchise a McD's & have redbox [a sub] that you also own the redbox 2. hmm, sparkle! shiny! lol can you imagine the business plan they have? well, i found something even BETTER an on-line book version....whoo hoo :)

and in case you don't know this about me, i love books! i love the feel of the paper. i love seeing all the words. i love to turn the pages. i STILL love reading the newspaper, it IS one of my ALL-time ultimate things TO DO :)

p.s. also becoming fan of library again with summer & low funds and well as the used bookstore in Spanish Fork. come by sometime, you may see me sitting in the corner reading a book

before camp & while missing teen camp- hannah's team was in tournament and made it to the finals (Softball). it was a good experience for her this summer, here are a few pictures.

,,,a spa day....

i've decided i had one today and i say that because i had lots of gifts along the way; i'm grateful for....and laughing at myself for me thinkN' this!! [& 2 say it out loud is honestly SO ME, it's funn-IER :) ]

i started the day rather quiet & subdue, even contemplating "projects" around the house. i tried something new for breakfast- the girls on either side of me and i went back-n-forth sneaking in bites of cereal for myself. since apparently mine ALWAYS taste better any way :) it worked well, the girls ate good!

my goal was to be at the park by 8:30, then 9, then 9:30 maybe if quick before my ride comes at 10. Ride arrives as i'm trying to get out the garage...and i made it part way down the block the other direction [ so the girls weren't walking into the sun the whole time] & decided to come home. Plus the park is crowded now & we'd have to wait in line for a swing (sad face!!).

garden for a few minutes, drop gregory off at guitar and head to pick up one of our fixed cars-- yay! we've had a terrible summer in the auto arena but this is good news and one thing i'm grateful for (thank u mr. fix it man!). we got some help getting the work done & learned more not so nice things about our car company. even more convinced to sue, at this point. got ride there- didn't drive & read book, laughed along the pages. quick stop at DI to treasure hunt, cede really is a good treasurer 'Hunter & Finder' and plus i'm encouraging her to pick up things here & there for her apt...was fun. then got dropped off at car place. turns out car not ready, sat & read mag & listened to fun tv in the background. cede brought me a drink. got kind a hungry- had an idea...car is drivable just not done, took car for food & came back.

WOW! what a sweet ride- was so comfy. far cry from truck!!! and drove so nice & noticed things that were fixed. was smooth on the ride & was quiet! went back & sat again. read some more & was quiet. (was in touch with house via text)

didn't occur to me to think back on the day much till i was coming home; two thoughts 1) wow it's 4- i've been gone a while, longER than i thought i'd be. hmmm 2) i kept having to stay out of the carpool lane because there was no one else in the car ...AND....it was so quiet. no radio. no disney radio. no dance radio. no relationship advice- no noise, just me & the road :) & the fixed car (least mostly fixed)

....that's when i smiled 2 myself and that's when i thought it's been like a spa day- for me. i relaxed- in my own way, had a few treats, got some important stuff taken care of for our family, had time to myself to read & refresh and now i'm back home - home sweet home-

do you want to know what i heard when i walked in the door?? mama mama! mama! and my girls came running and my son gave me a hug & even kurtee came out of the office to say hi....sigh, it was a good day but i am glad to be H-O-M-E <3

P.S. have to pack everyone back up, we're going bowling (cede PE credit, still!!!) and then swimming at the Scera pools. the gang should sleep good tonight, hehe & maybe mom 2

P.S.S. i heart my life, my family & i'm reminded on days like today. i am grateful

and she is off......she's been working on it for a few weeks or so now (A+ for effort B4 her bday but she got distracted). the week before her birthday she added a new speed and some leg to her crawl think it slowed down her dsire to W-A-L-K ! then there was the new fad, bridge walk & she likes that well enough (hold on and walk-n-scoot along immobile objects). lastly, there was all her siblings to cart her around but now it's official and she is ready to explore...her favorite seems to be in the middle of the floor &just stand up- think she likes all the applause and oh! ah! i keep waiting for her to take a bow

...makes me think of the 'golden rule', matthew 7:12. and yet sometimes it is the farthest from how we act, especially towards the people we "love" & cherish the most in this life. i had like troubles & abuse and had to find my own voice through it all. i felt lost. i got lost. woman to woman- it takes courage, strength from another place, a higher power to get through some days. i've lived minute to minute and worked up to day to day. and still slide sometimes, everyone does. one way to grow is by women sharing stories and talking about it out loud. no hush, hush!
